The Board of Trustees of the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) Endowment Fund on Tuesday, 19th August, 2025 held its inaugural meeting in Abuja, marking a historic milestone in the University’s drive towards sustainable funding and institutional development.

The meeting brought together eminent Nigerians and distinguished personalities who will steer the affairs of the Fund. Sitting members of the Board included His Excellency Professor Ambassador Tijjani Bande, District Head; Professor Attahiru Jega, who serves as Chairman of the Board; and Chief Kola Akosile.

The inauguration of the Board signifies a major step towards mobilizing resources to strengthen the University’s academic, research, and infrastructural development, while also enhancing its global visibility.
