In a bold move to enhance mobility and student welfare, the Vice Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, officially launched an on-campus tricycle service at the university’s New Campus. The initiative aims to provide students and staff with a safer, more convenient mode of transportation, easing the challenges posed by the vast distances between faculties and departments.

The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Professor Sagir Adamu Abbas, on Thursday, March 27, 2025, received the newly elected executives of the Student Union Government (SUG), led by its President, Comrade Abdullahi Usman Baba. The delegation was accompanied by the Dean of Student Affairs, Professor Shamsuddeen Umar.

Bayero University, Kano (BUK) has reinforced its partnership with the Nigerian Navy, focusing on training and security cooperation. Both institutions have agreed to develop strategies for expanding their collaboration into other key areas.
