Delivering the revived BUK Public Lecture titled "Development Dynamics and the Sustainability of Nigerian Universities," he urged universities to move beyond dependence on government funding by embracing innovation, diversified funding, strategic partnerships and institutional thinking.

EXTENSION OF BUKAT AND BUKDES EXERCISE DUE TO REMITA PLATFORM OUTAGE

The Management of Bayero University, Kano (BUK) wishes to inform all prospective candidates and members of the public that the BUK Admission Screening Exercise (BUKAT) and BUKDES exercise has been extended by two (2) weeks.

The extension is to compensate for the period lost as a result of the REMita platform outage, which affected the payment and registration processes during the exercise.

The Jigawa State Government and the Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN) have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening their partnership to accelerate agricultural transformation, expand opportunities for women, youth and persons with disabilities, and scale up food security initiatives under the WOFAN-ICON2 Project.

The Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN), Prospects Development Services (PDS-UK), other regional and international participants have unveiled an action plan to apply strategic communication, digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI) in leadership, decision-making and peacebuilding.
