The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, has commissioned three additional tricycles to improve transportation for staff and students across the University  New campus.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony held on Friday, 24 July 2026, at the Deanery of Student Affairs, Professor Musa described the expansion of the campus transport fleet as part of the University's commitment to enhancing students' welfare and providing efficient transportation services.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) emerged as a defining theme of the Executive Training on Organisational Performance Enhancement: Integrating Problem Solving, Sustainable Leadership and Artificial Intelligence Innovation for Executives and Board Members, as participants acquired practical knowledge and hands-on skills to transform organisational performance through responsible AI adoption.

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has received ₦28 million worth of agricultural inputs from the Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN) following the signing of a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the Skills Improvement to Boost Livelihood and Nurture Growth (SIBLING) Project, a pioneering initiative aimed at transforming students into successful agricultural entrepreneurs.

Bayero University Kano (BUK), through its Directorate of Research, Innovation and Partnership (DRIP), has hosted its maiden National Conference and Exhibition on Research and Development, with stakeholders calling for stronger collaboration among academia, industry, and government to accelerate innovation, research commercialisation, and sustainable national development.

The Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), Bayero University, Kano, has distributed 2.85 tonnes of improved seed varieties to farmers from 22 adopted communities and 5 other seed producing communities as part of efforts to boost food production, strengthen livelihoods, and enhance climate resilience in Northern Nigeria.
