The Vice-Chancellor of Bayero University, Kano (BUK), on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, inaugurated the Sectoral Industry Advisory Board (SIAB) of the Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), with Hajiya Dr Salamatu Garba, Chairperson of the Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN) International Group, as Chair of the Board.

The newly elected President of the Students’ Union Government (SUG), Bayero University, Kano (BUK), Abdulmudallib Kalli Sharif, popularly known as Sir Kalli, has pledged to make the welfare of students the foremost priority of his administration.

Sir Kalli gave the assurance shortly after the official release of the Students’ Union election results on Thursday, 22 January 2026. He stressed that he would pursue students’ welfare with vigour, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility, aimed at improving and enhancing the overall wellbeing of BUK students.

The Women Farmers Advancement Network (WOFAN) on Saturday, 17 January 2026, honoured the Director of the Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), Professor Sanusi Gaya Mohammed; the immediate past Director of CDA, Professor Jibrin Mohammed Jibrin; the Dean, Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Muhammad Auwal Hussain; and the Dean-elect, Professor Aminu Sulaiman, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to academia and agricultural development.

BUK to Sign MoU with Chinese Firms on Agricultural Technology and Innovation

Bayero University, Kano (BUK), is set to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hubei Technology Market Association of China to deepen collaboration in agricultural technology, innovation, and best farming practices.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Haruna Musa, fsi, disclosed this when he received a delegation from the Chinese association on a courtesy visit on Friday, January 16, 2026. The delegation was accompanied by a team from the Centre for Dryland Agriculture (CDA), led by its Director, Professor Sanusi Gaya Mohammed.

1. Make sure you have duly registered with the
University for the 2024/2025 session.
2. Make payment via selecting Others services.
3. Go to Bursary for confirmation and signing of
Remita payment.
4. Submit the duly signed Remita receipt to CIT.
5. Goto the portal and Add or Drop your second
semester course(s).
6. Reprint your CRF and summit to your level
coordinator and Postgraduate College 
Faculty Officer for documentation.
